How's everybody doing?

I've noticed that it's been a bit quiet on here these past few days - is everyone busy, hunched over their keyboards knocking one out? Or even writing a story?

Thanks to the Bank Holiday, I've made a good start to mine. My first thought on seeing that picture was an old Bonnie Tyler video, but I've dropped that idea in favour of something more original.

Although it's an all-new work it does feature characters who first appeared in one of my old stories, and picks up on the plot towards the end of that story. It won't be neccessary to have read the original story, as it will work as a stand-alone piece.

The first story was one of my more successful ones with over 140,000 reads, quite a few people have asked for a sequel so I'm off and running. It appears that it may turn into an epic, as I'm a thousand words in, and have only really done the introduction - the first sex scene is still some way off yet

 

I'm so glad you're writing Jayney. I've heard a couple of ideas floating around, only they were sea lions not sea turtles, DC.

Three buttons of different sizes, a rusty tin can, an aardvark, whipped cream, Bella from Twilight, a non-functioning electron microscope, one dozen whoopie cushions, and Redd Foxx.

I'm still unsure if my intended audience can handle the tin can being rusty, though.

 

The picture is fascinating and evocative. Does the story need to have sexual content? The picture does not imply any.

 

Ah, yes. I see where you're going with this. I was going to do something very similar, so I'm glad I went with the sea turtle story instead.

And I don't mind a little rust, but don't you think aluminum would have been a better choice than tin?

 

I have always supported that, just because this is a porn site stories do not have to be sexual in content.

However, that being said, I would imagine non-sexual stories would not be voted very highly, unfortunately, no matter how good the writing was.

I'm with smc on this - there's no reason why a story should have to have sexual content. Indeed there have been non-sexual entries previously, which have made for interesting reads.

As smc says non-sex isn't likely to win a lot of votes but why not write a story anyway, just for the fun of it?

I was allowed to only remove one item from the overall list, and the rusty tin can had to be kept in order to remove the other item.

I wrote a story for the unrequited love theme involving Mary Magdalene and Jesus and, while I'm not a practicer of any religion, I couldn't bring myself to have sexual content.

Didn't get nary a vote.

Still liked writing it, though.

That story was in my thoughts when I replied to smc & DL earlier - it was a good story, and I enjoyed reading it. :rose:

The story can be anything you like. It doesn't necessarily have to contain sexual content.

Believe it or not, my story involves an implanted electronic neuro-stimulator. I actually have one myself, to mask sciatic nerve pain from scar tissue after disc surgery.

Don't laugh, and don't worry -- I didn't get the unit with the solar panels that they sew to your back. I just have to plug myself in to re-charge the battery. :-E

Even though this challenge doesn't require it, I'm also using a song as inspiration -- "Lyin' Eyes" by The Eagles. Working title for my story: "The Cheatin' Side of Town."

 

I wrote the first paragraph of my story. Now I need for the photograph to tell me the rest of the story.
